Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. David ANDRE always wanted to be a fashion designer since his childhood. After his classical studies, he decided to take his passion in hand. He commenced classes in fashion design at Academy Faith Verona in Haiti, Patternmaking and Draping at Formamod Paris in France. From his first runway show in 1998 in Haiti to date, his name is well known in Haiti and overseas for his professionalism and creativity. After all many years he is still improving his skills, knowledge and have received many recognitions. 

• At the end of November 2012, during two years, four of his pieces have been exhibited in different museums of the Choukoune collection in Madrid, Spain organized by bid-dimad.org.
• In January 2015, four pages were devoted to David André’s work in the book ” Primed for Success, Celebrating Entrepreneurship Caribbean Vol 3 ” published by the Caribbean Export Agency. 
• In 2015, he travelled to Senegal, Dakar for a three weeks student residence program around the traditional Boubou and African fabrics organized by OIF. 
• In February 2019, he received a certificate of appreciation at the United States Embassy in Haiti from Mrs. the Ambassador Michele J. SISON, it was a notable accomplishment in his career. 
• In May 2019, he participated among twenty other designers from different Caribbean countries in a two-week fashion accelerator program organized by the Caribbean Export Agency on Market Placement, Brand Development, Digital Marketing, Fashion & Technology, Sustainability & Export Readiness and Garment Construction & Finishing to international standards. This was held at the University of Trinidad and Tobago under the direction of Ms. Sandra CARR.

Year after year David gained experiences and created a name at home and around the Caribbean. He participated in various Fashion Weeks Regionally in Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad & Tobago, and Barbados. His international showcase was held in Ecuador, New York, Miami, Berlin, Paris, Dakar, Bahamas, Spain, London, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. 

His work has been published in national and international newspapers and magazines such as, the Haitian National Newspaper, Le Nouvelliste, Ticket Magazine, Haitian Times, BBC News, Jamaica Sunday Observer, The Nation Barbados, The Guardian Newspaper, Trinidad & Tobago, Marie Claire, France, Rebelle Magazine, Air France Outremer Magazine, and Actu’Elle Senegal.  

After all these years of creation, David is not prepared to stop, he wants to realize his dream, which is to be a world-renowned Fashion Designer and be the pride of Haiti. He strives to remains true to the validity of his fashion direction. On January 15^th, 2022 in Miami, David was awarded for designer of the year by the prestigious Haitian Music Award. As stated many years ago by Mrs. Magalie A. RACINE, former minister of youth and sports in the Haitian Times newspaper, “David is going far with His positive attitude”
